PET practice (week 10)

Hello people!! I have PET practice in reading, listening and vocabulary, and my reflection about these activities is:

 Well, of the three skills, the most challenging for me was listening, because I don’t understand to the people of the sound recording L and it is very difficult for me.
The task most difficult for me was “Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) Listening, part 2”, because I don’t like this activity and I was not attentive.
And, the task most easy was reading, I don’t know why, but it is the activity that I like me more.

Hello, today I must to write the final score of the activities of the unit “PLACE TO STAY” of the UChile platform. 

1)ACTIVITY 1 ulture and Travel “Angkor Wat” and ACTIVITY 2 Look at the signs and answer the questions.C

At first activity I had to read a text and answer any question. I answered 8 correct questions of 10, and my final score was 80%. At second activity, I had 6 correct questions of 7. Well, I must admit that I don’t know much vocabulary and there are some words that I don’t know, so I was wrong in any questions.

2) ACTIVITY 3: From the Top 10 places to visit
Well, of this 10 place I choose the Taj Mahal in India, because is a beautiful palace. I love this country because I think that is wonderful and interesting, beyond of its culture, its constructions and architecture are surprising!! And the Taj Mahal is the palace more wonderful of the world; also it was built for love. It is charming! I love it :D

3) Well, I think that learn English is very important, because “open doors”. In the life, in the university and in the job, the English is very useful. Actually, is the universal language; in every countries you can communicate if you know speak English. So, learn it from child it’s really good and it will be useful in the future.   

Getting Arround - Activities

Hello, I must to do the activities of the UChile platform. My final score are:

ACTIVITY 1: Pet practice --> 6/7

In this activities the question more difficult for me was “What did the woman do on holiday? “, because I don’t understand what people were saying.

ACTIVITY 2: Listening practice --> 80%
The most difficult question was the number 4, because it had not written question. Also, I don’t understand what the man said.   

ACTIVITY 3: Web Quest

- The requirements to hire a bike in London are: ate the station terminal with a bank card you can hire a bike, ride a bike around the city and then return it to any of the hundreds of docking stations.

- The Oyster is a smartcard that the visitor can use on the Tube, DLR, MBNA Thames Clippers river bus service, London Overground and most National Rail services in London.

- Yes, In London there are the train system Tube. 

my blogging experience

Hello!!! How are you? I'm very fine! A little tired, because is end of semester and I have many test, but I had good marks (or I hope so haha).
Well, today I'm going to talk about my blogging experience. This semester, I had the subject "English 4 or Intermediate", and one of the activities of this course was write post in a blog. Every week, we must to write about diffrent topics and then these blogs were evaluated by the teacher. 
This experience has been great, I learned a lot, and it helped me a lot to improve my writing in English. I must admit that is easier to write than speak, and I like it. I think that this mode helps a lot to develop learning. 
In the future, the English subject should include more oral presentation for the best development of this area, and the students will improve the orality. Also, would be nice include investigation work or report in English to improve reading ability. 
For the next blogs, I would like to write about more specific issues of degree, for expample about the specialties. Also, I would like to write about music and TV shows. 
Well, this is the last bolg that I will write this semester! It was a pleasure!! Good bye guys!

Hello people!! How are you! I’m very fine J Well, today I’m going to talk about how green I’m and I will answer this questions:

Where do people learn about enviromentally friendly practices?

Well, in actuality recycle is trendy, so there are many ways to learn how to do it, like television reports, workshops ,by different medium of communication, etc.

Have you incorporated recycling into your habits? Describe

Yes, I recycle. I take out the garbage the paper and the plastic bottles in separate bags, and I give it to the people who collect cardboard for to sell it.  Also, I deposit the glass bottles in the container of COANIQUEM.

Do you use a bike or your legs instead of a car?

Yes, I love to ride a bike!! With my friend go to the park and the other place in bike, because we don’t like the public transport and we prefer ride a bike, so we save money and take care of the planet.

Have you joined or supported any eco-organisations? Why/Why not?

MMM no, because I don’t have time. The university consumes me, but I would like to join it.  

What else have you done /would you like to do?

I would like to support any eco-organisation, because I think that is very important care to the planet!! And we must know this. Many people take out the garbage in the street, parks, river, etc and they pollute. So, we must be responsible with our planet.

What have you done to reduce your carbon footprint?

Well, it’s very difficult, but I try not to go by car.

What's missing in our society/Santiago regarding this issue?

We need education!!! Many people pollute the city and do not care!! It is horrible. Well, we must learn to care our planet.

My favorite subject :)

Hello people!! How are you? I’m very fine, this week I have been relaxed, because I have not had tests! Well, in this blog I will write about my favorite subject this semester! It is very difficult to choose a favorite subject, but I will try it!!

Well, this semester I have had many subjects, but I like anthropology. The classes of this subject are made by psychologists; they are responsible to teach us the psychological aspect of our degree, the odontology. I like this subject, because we learn to treat patients differently, of another way.

The anthropology is a science that studies the physical, social and cultural aspects and manifestations of humans. So, in this subject, they teach us that the patients are a persons and no just a mouth, we must look to the patient as integral being.

I like this subject because complements all clinical subjects, we learnt and can associate the behavior of people when they are in the dental consultation or when they feel pain. The teacher teaches us to understand the patient, to be empathetic and polite, etc.

My expectations for the next year subjects are good as this, and that we continue to learn thing that help us to treat patients.

Activities!

Hello my dear friend, I and my partner did U.chile activities in the platform and our score was regularly ha ha ha.

In the unit 4, we did 3 activities:

1.  We hear the dialogue of people

2.  In the questionnaire, we got 6 correct answers 11

3.  In the questionnaire, we got 57 correct answers 68

In the unit 5, we did 3 activities:

1.       The questionnaire "Are You a Compulsive Spender? "It was fun and we got the following result : you have a firm Grip in your wallet

2.       In this activity we read "10 Ways To Save Money" and we find them very interesting. we will use them in our lives

3.       In the questionnaire we answered 23 of 30 questions correct

We think that our results were good, but could be better, if we study what we can achieve more. 

1.       We think that compulsive spenders are uncontrolled people.  They spend a lot of money on unnecessary things and they are much indebted. These people should receive psychological help and family support so that they can change.

2.       We think that the most common problem to face along dentists their career is that no patient enough to practice. Also, they must buy materials are very expensive. This career is stressful, because students must study hard and get good grades
